From the Alexander Livingston heirloom varieties. Grown in our trials at Foster Hill Farm this was a heavy producer of juicy cocktail size tomatoes. This variety was introduced in 1892 and was marketed at that time as a good tomato for canning. It would pair well with 'Flamme' and 'Moneymaker' for a colorful presentation on a platter as a Caprese Salad. The seeds are sourced from the Victory Seed company from their collection of seeds through the national seed bank. We grew the entire collection in our trials in 2022 and 'Gold Ball' was one of the best performers. Photos: Foster Hill Farm
