This open pollinated very hot pepper originated in St. Augustine, Florida and is one of our oldest pepper varieites offered, 1820. Lots of heat and great flavor on a compact plant that works well in containers. Peppers mature from green to yellow/orange.
The heat is similar to Habaneros with a uniquely sweet flavor. These peppers are perfect to spice up any cuisine, used fresh in salads, sauces, or hot sauces, or dried into a fantastic chili powder! Photo: Bob Snedeker
