What exactly is an heirloom tomato? Demystify terms like: open pollinated, hybrid, dwarf, potato leaf, determinate and indeterminate. Tips will be given on variety selection for various growing conditions and best practices for plant care to set plants up for success. Foster Hill Farm grows over 125 varieties of tomato starter plants. All have been grown in their trial gardens. Learn about some favorite varieties. After the program participants will have the opportunity to tour the greenhouses. Starter plants will be available for purchase and garden shop will be open late.
